The Lost Card
By Norman Wilson
It all started when Erin Jackson found a Joe Namath football card in the local magazine shop. Come to find out, this card is the only one left in existence, and is worth one million dollars. Three days later, it got stolen from his safe. Can Erin and his friend's find the card, before it is too late?
"Erin, be quiet. That stupid card is NOT worth one million." Ben Stevens and Jack Lasling are Erin's best buds. They all met in Kindergarten and they are now freshman at Xaviar high in Grand Casper, Pennsylvania.
"It is too! I even got it appraised by an expert."
"By who, your little mommy?" Jack joked sarcastically.
"No, by the man on Crossroads Auction."
"Whatever. What are going to do about it anyway? You gunna call in a 'private investigator?'" joked Ben.
"Actually I had other plans. Do you guys want to help me find it?"
"I don't know, do you want to, Ben?" Jack asked.
"I don't think so."
"Please, guys?"
"It won't hurt to try, I guess." Ben replied.
"Sweet. I have already gotten a hint. Jenny Gairc told me she saw it at the Pawn Shop."
